Agency INZA had the honor to be part of the organization together with Association AZUR at the conference “Strengthening the capacity of the global platform for disaster risk reduction in local communities of Bosnia and Herzegovina” held in the Parliamentary Assembly where attended 95 participants of municipalities and cities, ministries, governmental and non-governmental organizations from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Through the conference, AZUR tried to provide an insight that strengthening the capacity of the global platform for disaster risk reduction in local communities of BiH is of strategic importance and that it should be incorporated into all strategic, entity and local documents in BiH.The conference started with the opening speech of the president of the Association, Prof. dr. Muhamed Omerbegović and UNDP resident representative Mrs. Steliana Neder, and was officially opened by the Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr. Nenad Nešić.
As part of the conference, panel discussions were held:
1. “Strengthening the capacity of the global platform for reducing risks and disasters in local communities in Bosnia and Herzegovina”
2. “Interoperability of all actors in the implementation of policies of the Sendai Framework 2015-2030”
3. “Financial instruments for the sustainability of local communities resistant to climate change”
